Bajaur: An important event was held at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Khar as part of a tree plantation campaign aimed at improving the environment and making the area greener. People from different walks of life participated in the activity, planted saplings, and highlighted the importance of tree plantation among the public.
The event was attended by President Khar Bazaar Wajid Ali Shah, General Secretary Khar Bazaar Sajjad Karwan, social worker Abdul Qadir, the Manager of NADRA Brang, and officials of the hospital administration along with the District Health Officer (DHO) Bajaur. On this occasion, Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Hayat Afridi, Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) Dr. Naseeb Gul, and other staff members also took part in the campaign by planting trees.
Various types of saplings were planted within the hospital premises to promote a greener environment as well as to encourage a clean and healthy atmosphere.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants said that trees are the beauty of the earth and an essential part of human life. They noted that trees not only help reduce environmental pollution but also play an important role in mitigating the negative effects of climate change. They emphasized that if every citizen plants at least one tree each year and takes responsibility for its care, the entire area can become greener and more pleasant.
The participants also expressed their commitment that tree plantation should not be limited to a one-day activity but should be adopted as a continuous practice and a shared responsibility of every member of society. They said that planting trees is in fact a valuable gift for future generations, which will not only improve the environment but also help build the foundation of a healthy society. 🌱
