ISLAMABAD: Building on a strong and ongoing collaboration, UN Women held a meeting with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to further advance gender equality and women’s empowerment through ESG-aligned approaches.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the promotion of sustainable business practices, the creation of safe and inclusive workplaces, and ensuring equal opportunities for women across the corporate sector. The discussion also focused on strengthening corporate governance through enhanced transparency and increased representation of women in leadership roles.
UN Women and SECP reaffirmed their shared commitment to embedding gender equality into market practices, recognizing it as a key driver of responsible business conduct and sustainable economic development.
The collaboration aims to foster long-term, inclusive growth that benefits all segments of society, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for women and girls across Pakistan.
