The program began with welcoming remarks from former Pro-Vice Chancellor and Chairman, Department of Islamic Studies, Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman. Speakers highlighted that after Hamas’s “Al-Aqsa Storm”, the Palestine issue had entered a new phase. They said that the atrocities committed by Israel have surpassed even the brutalities of Genghis Khan and Hulagu Khan. Addressing the seminar, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Shubaki expressed heartfelt gratitude to the rulers, political parties, people, women, youth, and children of Pakistan, praising their spirit of sacrifice and steadfastness in standing with Palestine. He recalled the words of Quaide-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who termed Israel as the “illegitimate child of the West,” and mentioned Pakistan’s historic role, including that of a Pakistani pilot who shot down seven enemy planes in Jordan. He lamented the silence of Muslim leaders on the issue, saying that nonMuslim rulers and students worldwide had shown greater honor and courage by raising their voices for Gaza than many Muslim governments. He paid tribute to the fighters of Hamas who, despite limited resources, stood against Israel’s tanks and warplanes with faith and sacrifice, thereby fulfilling their duty as the true representatives of the Muslim Ummah. Dr. Abu Zubair Naji, Hamas leader in Asia, said that the love of Pakistanis made Palestinians in Gaza feel they were not alone, strengthening their resistance. He declared that Palestine is the heritage of all Muslims, and it is a collective struggle to liberate Palestine and Al-Quds. He stressed that the sacrifices of Hamas fighters have made Gaza indestructible and unconquerable, and he appealed to the Muslim Ummah not to leave Gaza isolated. He further stated that the Muslim world today suffers from great chaos and division because it has abandoned the spirit of Jihad. He urged Muslims to revive it as a fundamental religious duty. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and administration of Malakand University for organizing the seminar on such an important topic. In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rasheed Ahmad said that Muslims’ bond with the people of Palestine is tied to the Kalimah Tayyibah. Our brothers and sisters have been under siege in Gaza for the past two years, and it is our religious duty to help them in every possible way. He warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and thanked them for raising awareness about the dire situation in Gaza. The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Fida Muhammad, said that the people of Palestine are the beauty of the Muslim Ummah, and their sacrifices will ultimately lead to the destruction of Israel. He added that Palestinians have shaken the conscience of Muslims worldwide, and the fighters of Gaza have reminded the world of their true identity. Despite two years of relentless bombings by the Israeli army, the Mujahideen of Gaza remain undefeated—an inspiring example to strengthen our faith, revive the spirit of Jihad, and renew our commitment. In a statement issued by Mairaj ul Hamid Nasri: Public Relations Officer, University of Malakand it was stated that the seminar was jointly organized by the Directorate of Students’ Societies and the Department of Islamic Studies. The program concluded with prayers for the support of the people of Gaza and the steadfastness of the Hamas fighters.
