PESHAWAR: Consul General Tom Eckert visited Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University (SBBWU) and the Eleanor Roosevelt Corner Peshawar, where he met Vice Chancellor Dr. Safia Ahmed and reviewed ongoing collaborative initiatives with the U.S. Consulate.
During the visit, the Consul General observed how the partnership is expanding educational, professional, and commercial opportunities for young leaders across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also toured newly established facilities, including advanced conference areas, a state-of-the-art digital media studio for modern content production, and a dedicated Maker Space designed to support hands-on STEM training.
These facilities aim to equip young people with innovative tools, strengthen academic and professional skills, and foster deeper people-to-people connections between the United States and Pakistan.
