CHARSADDA: An inquiry has been launched against a female government employee in Charsadda after revelations surfaced that she has been receiving salaries from two different institutions at the same time. The Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC-I) Charsadda has officially initiated investigations against Warden Assistant Kiran Zareen and sent a formal notice to the Registrar of Bacha Khan University, Charsadda.

According to the notice, Kiran Zareen has been serving as a Lady Health Worker at the District Health Office since 2018. However, in September 2022, she was also appointed as a Warden Assistant at Bacha Khan University. Allegations suggest that she continues to draw a regular salary from the university while still retaining her position in the Health Department.

Authorities have stated that holding positions and drawing salaries simultaneously from two government institutions without approval falls under corruption and is considered a serious legal offence. In this regard, the AAC-I has demanded that the Registrar of Bacha Khan University submit a complete record of Kiran Zareen’s employment and salaries within three days to establish the facts.

Local sources revealed that this is not the first time such allegations have surfaced in Charsadda’s government institutions. However, higher officials have assured that the matter will be thoroughly investigated and strict action will be taken in accordance with the law.
