KOHAT: Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSC Kohat) has finalized a comprehensive cleanliness and sanitation operation plan to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for citizens during Eid al-Fitr 2026.
Under the plan, phased activities have been outlined, starting with the maintenance and repair of all operational vehicles from March 1 to March 20, 2026, to ensure uninterrupted service during the festive period.
A key meeting with supervisors was held on March 16, where detailed briefings were given regarding the Eid cleanliness strategy and duty allocations.
The special sanitation operation will involve a total of 48 vehicles and 346 personnel, including drivers, helpers, and sanitation staff. Cleaning of major roads has already commenced, along with road washing through specialized machinery.
Additionally, special cleaning and washing of Eidgahs and mosques have been initiated, including lime application, to provide a hygienic environment for Eid prayers.
To address emergency situations, water supply staff will remain on alert with water tankers ready to ensure immediate availability of water if required.
During Eid-ul-Fitr, the complaint cell of Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat will remain fully operational, and citizens can register complaints through the helpline number 1334.
