Amjad Aziz Malik Receives AIPS Lifetime Honor

ISLAMABAD: Amjad Aziz Malik, President of the Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) and a distinguished senior sports journalist, has been elected as a Lifetime Honorary Member of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

The honor was conferred during the 88th AIPS Congress held in Lausanne, Switzerland, attended by representatives from 111 countries worldwide.

Alongside Amjad Aziz Malik, five other senior sports journalists from Japan, Spain, Malta, Brazil, and Türkiye were also awarded Lifetime Honorary Membership in recognition of their more than a decade-long services to AIPS.

Amjad Aziz Malik is the first Pakistani in the 102-year history of AIPS to receive this prestigious distinction. The recognition not only acknowledges his individual contributions but also marks a historic milestone for sports journalism in Pakistan.

Secretary PSWF, Muhammad Asghar Azeem, congratulated Malik on this remarkable achievement, stating that his selection is a matter of pride for the entire nation, particularly the sports journalism community. He added that the honor would further enhance Pakistan’s positive global image and strengthen its presence in the field of sports journalism.
