Governor Faisal Karim Kundi assures action on road, power issues in Katlang

PESHAWAR: A delegation from Katlang, Mardan, led by Pakistan Peoples Party leader and former district nazim Mardan Asad Ali Kashmiri, Syed Badshah Shankar Khankhel and former PK-59 candidate Sherzada Khan, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi here on Tuesday.

The delegation expressed serious concern over the delay in construction work on the Katlang-Buner Road, particularly at Shankar Chowk. They also apprised the Governor of unannounced electricity load-shedding and issues related to NADRA in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said a meeting of the delegation with WAPDA officials would be arranged to resolve electricity-related issues on a permanent basis.

He said necessary instructions had been issued to the relevant authorities regarding matters pertaining to NADRA, police and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority.

Faisal Karim Kundi further said scholarships would soon be provided through the Pakistan Red Crescent Society to deserving students on merit, adding that the project was in the approval stage.
