Dr. Madeeha completed her PhD in microbiology

HARIPUR: Dr. Madeeha Gohar, daughter of former prison department officer Taj Gohar Khan, has successfully completed her PhD in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, one of Pakistan’s leading institutions of higher education and research. Talking to newsmen here on Monday she said that her doctoral research focused on gut microbiota, probiotics, and host microbe interactions, contributing to the advancement of biomedical and health related sciences.

During her academic career, Dr. Madeeha, a member of one of the known families of Tarbela Dam affectees of Khalabat Township, earned recognition for her dedication to scientific research and innovation. She gained valuable international research experience at the University of Minnesota, USA, and the University of Innsbruck, Austria, where she worked in collaborative and interdisciplinary research environments. She has also contributed to several scientific research projects and publications in the field of microbiology and biomedical sciences.

Her achievement, she said, was a matter of pride for her family, teachers, and the academic community, reflecting years of hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence in research. Talking about her future objectives she said that she would continue her scientific journey through international collaborative research and contributions toward human health and modern biomedical sciences.
