DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Special arrangements were made for the welfare of prisoners and the provision of quality food at District Central Jail Dera Ismail Khan on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha under the supervision of Superintendent Jail Ijaz Mehsud.
DIG Prisons Tahir Shahbaz visited the jail and celebrated Eid with the inmates. During the visit, he exchanged Eid greetings with prisoners and reviewed the special arrangements made for the occasion. A sacrificial bull was also slaughtered as part of the Eid celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Hikmatullah Khan also paid a special visit to the Central Jail, accompanied by Superintendent Jail Ijaz Mehsud. The Deputy Commissioner inspected various sections of the jail and expressed satisfaction over the facilities and arrangements provided for the inmates.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hikmatullah Khan distributed sweets among the prisoners, creating a festive and pleasant atmosphere within the jail premises.
According to details, the Dera Al-Khidmat Foundation donated a sacrificial bull to the jail administration, while a prominent philanthropist from the city also contributed a bull for the welfare of the inmates.
The purpose of these welfare initiatives was to ensure that prisoners could share in the spirit and happiness of Eid-ul-Adha and enjoy quality meals during the festive days.
The jail administration arranged special meals, premium-quality meat, and sweets for all prisoners for three consecutive days to enable them to celebrate Eid in a dignified manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent Jail Ijaz Mehsud said that the administration remains committed to ensuring the well-being of inmates by providing proper food, healthcare, and other essential facilities. He added that prisoners are being treated with humanity, compassion, and respect in accordance with established rules and standards.
