Malik/Bhutto Group wins Ittehad Union OGDCL referendum

ISLAMABAD: The Malik/Bhutto Group has won the 2026 referendum of the Ittehad Union of All Pakistan Employees OGDCL with a convincing majority.

Polling for the union referendum was held on September 8, 2026, at OGDCL fields and locations across Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as in Islamabad. According to the final results, the Malik/Bhutto Group secured a clear majority.

The victory was celebrated on September 10 at the OGDCL Head Office on Jinnah Avenue, Islamabad, where union workers and supporters gathered and celebrated to the beat of drums.

A formal ceremony was later held at the head office auditorium and was attended by OGDCL Managing Director Ahmed Hayat Lak, who addressed the workers.

Ittehad Union President Zahid Hussain Bhutto and General Secretary Malik Mumtaz also addressed the ceremony and thanked workers across Pakistan for their support and confidence in the union.
