PESHAWAR : The Abbasin Youth Organization of Tehkal Bala, Peshawar, has completed five years of humanitarian and community welfare services, supporting deserving families and vulnerable people through a range of relief and social initiatives.
Speaking to the media, Chairman Abbas Khan Khalil, Vice Chairman Shehryar and President Fayyaz Shahid said the organization had remained committed to helping underprivileged people while protecting their dignity and privacy.
During the past five years, the organization provided financial and material assistance for the marriages of 20 deserving girls and eight boys. It also distributes Ramadan ration packages and cash assistance to around 400 to 500 families every year.
On Eid-ul-Azha, meat from collective sacrifices is distributed among approximately 180 deserving families. The organization has also supported mosques and religious schools by providing Holy Qurans, clothing and other essential items, while solar systems and digital clocks have been installed at some institutions.
The organization has also responded to floods, heavy rains, earthquakes and other emergencies, providing relief to affected communities according to available resources. It regularly organizes blood donation drives and free medical camps, helping patients and people who cannot afford costly medical treatment.
The leadership said special attention was given to financially vulnerable families who hesitate to seek assistance. Such households are identified through local sources and provided with ration or financial support while maintaining their dignity.
The office-bearers said completing five years was not an end but a renewed commitment to expand welfare activities and reach more deserving people. They appealed to philanthropists and community members to support the organization’s humanitarian mission.
The Abbasin Youth Organization said it would continue serving the people of Tehkal Bala and surrounding areas through compassion, volunteerism and practical community support.
