ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) intensified its nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking, conducting seven successful operations across multiple cities and arresting 11 suspects. During these operations, a total of 472.39 kilograms of narcotics, worth over Rs. 13.66 crore, were recovered.
Under domestic drug interdiction, ANF recovered 300 kg of ice and 40 kg of heroin from a vehicle in District Kech’s Jusak area, arresting two accused. In another operation near Yaroo, Pishin, 24 kg of hashish was seized from a car and one suspect was apprehended. Similarly, 12 kg of hashish was recovered near Pabbi Bazaar in Nowshera, leading to the arrest of one individual.
Further operations near Jamia Farooqia on Hub River Road resulted in the confiscation of 84 kg of hashish from two vehicles and the arrest of three suspects. At a cargo office in Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 2.4 kg of opium and 790 grams of ice from a parcel, arresting one accused. Additionally, 2.4 kg of hashish was seized from an individual near Bund Road in Lahore.
In an inter-provincial operation, ANF intercepted a vehicle near Islamabad Toll Plaza, recovering 4.8 kg of hashish and 2 kg of ice, and arresting two suspects.
Cases have been registered against all accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and further investigations are underway.
