JAMRUD: Social activist, broadcaster, sports analyst, and blogger Ayaz Raza Afridi has been unanimously elected as the Senior Vice President of the Khyber Cricket Association during a meeting held at the Jamrud Sports Complex under the chairmanship of Association President Amir Afridi.
The meeting was attended by presidents of all affiliated cricket clubs, who appreciated Ayaz Raza Afridi’s long-standing contributions to cricket promotion, sports journalism, and youth development before unanimously electing him to the post.
Expressing gratitude, Ayaz Raza Afridi thanked the Association’s office-bearers, club presidents, and Patron-in-Chief Haji Taimur for their confidence. He pledged to serve with dedication and continue working for the promotion of cricket in District Khyber.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting emerging players, stating that he has spent more than two decades promoting local cricket talent and helping introduce players from District Khyber at the national and international levels.
