CM aide’s Hamayun pledges Support for Academic Excellence

CHAKDARA: Mr. Humayun Khan, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Industries and Commerce, visited the University of Malakand (UOM) on Saturday and formally congratulated Prof. Dr. Mir Azam Khan on assuming the office of Vice Chancellor.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor shared his vision for strengthening academic excellence, enhancing research productivity, and equipping students with market-oriented skills to meet emerging professional demands. Mr. Humayun Khan appreciated the university’s forward-looking initiatives and reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to supporting higher education institutions in achieving academic and developmental goals.
The Advisor assured that the Ministry of Industries and Commerce would work closely with UOM to explore innovative avenues for collaboration and promote industry-academia linkages aimed at creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for students and the local community.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Mir Azam Khan emphasized that academic quality remains the cornerstone of institutional growth and student enrolment. He stated that the university would continue to upgrade its educational standards in line with national and international requirements. The Vice Chancellor further expressed his commitment to showcasing the talent of the University’s expert researchers, faculty, and brilliant students on a national and global stage.
The Advisor commended the Vice Chancellor’s vision and emphasis on teamwork and institutional development. Both leaders firmly agreed that, in accordance with the provincial government’s policy framework, the university would uphold the highest standards of quality, merit, and transparency in all academic and administrative affairs, with zero tolerance for any compromise on these principles.
