SWAT: Aurat Foundation and Awami Welfare Society have strongly condemned threatening letters and mobile phone calls allegedly issued by militants targeting women. The organizations have urged the government to ensure the safety and protection of women.
According to details, there has been widespread anger and concern in Swat after alleged militant threats to kill polio vaccination workers in the Matta area. In a joint press release, Aurat Foundation and Awami Welfare Society demanded that the government provide security to polio workers, particularly women.
They further stated that more than ten polio workers have already fallen victim to acts of terrorism and called on the government to provide adequate compensation to the affected families.
