Corps Commander Peshawar Visits CCPO Office, Reviews Anti-Terrorism Measures

PESHAWAR: Before the Kohat tragedy, Corps Commander Peshawar visited the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Office Peshawar on Friday and met senior police officers to review the security situation and measures against terrorism.

Upon arrival, the Corps Commander received a guard of honour from a smartly turned-out police contingent. He also visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and laid a floral wreath to pay tribute to the sacrifices of police personnel.

The CCPO briefed the Corps Commander on security monitoring arrangements and measures being taken to counter terrorism. The Corps Commander also held a meeting with senior police officers, during which he was given a detailed briefing on the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting also discussed ongoing measures aimed at combating terrorism and maintaining peace across the province.

The Corps Commander paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the police and other law-enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.

He stressed the need to further strengthen coordination and cooperation between the police and security institutions to ensure sustainable peace and security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
