DC Hikmatullah Praises Peaceful Ashura, Public Cooperation

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The 9th and 10th Muharram processions and religious gatherings concluded peacefully in Dera Ismail Khan under comprehensive security arrangements, Deputy Commissioner Hikmatullah said on Friday.

He termed the successful observance of Ashura a result of effective coordination among all government departments and stakeholders. He appreciated the role of law enforcement agencies, government departments, religious scholars, peace committee members, organisers of processions and gatherings, political leaders, media representatives, and the people of Dera Ismail Khan for ensuring a peaceful environment.

The deputy commissioner said all processions followed their designated routes and reached their destinations safely without any untoward incident.

Paying tribute to the residents of Dera Ismail Khan, Hikmatullah said they demonstrated exemplary brotherhood, tolerance, mutual respect, and national unity during Muharram. He expressed hope that this spirit of harmony would continue throughout the year, helping make Dera Ismail Khan a symbol of peace, progress, and prosperity.
