DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A ceremony was held at Government Primary School Bahari Colony in connection with Pakistan Defence Day under the supervision of Headmaster and District President APTA Muhammad Farooq.
SDEO Dr. Abdul Hafeez attended the ceremony as chief guest, while Circle ASDEO Syed Altaf Ali Shah was also present. Teachers, PTC members and local elders participated in the event.
Students delivered speeches, presented national songs and performed various programs highlighting patriotism, national unity and the sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Addressing the gathering, speakers said September 6 was a historic day when the nation stood united with its armed forces and thwarted the enemy’s designs. They paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans and reaffirmed the commitment to Pakistan’s security and stability.
Chief Guest Dr. Abdul Hafeez said educational institutions and teachers had an important responsibility to educate the younger generation about Pakistan’s history and the sacrifices of national heroes and martyrs. He stressed the importance of patriotism, discipline, unity and hard work among students for the country’s progress.
He appreciated the students’ performances and lauded the efforts of the school administration and teachers.
At the conclusion, school bags, notebooks, uniforms and caps were distributed among students. A special prayer was also offered for the security, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and for the high ranks of the martyrs.
Headmaster Muhammad Farooq thanked all guests, teachers, PTC members and local elders for attending the ceremony.
