PESHAWAR: Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority Shahid Khan Mohmand chaired a review meeting on ongoing development schemes under the Good Governance Road Map (GGRM), focusing on the timely completion of tourism infrastructure projects across the province.
The meeting reviewed progress on projects in various districts, including the development of recreational facilities at dams, picnic spots, tourist facilitation centres, improvements at waterfalls, and other tourism-related infrastructure aimed at enhancing tourists’ experience.
Officials, including XENs and representatives of relevant departments, briefed the meeting on the progress of ongoing schemes, financial position, utilization of funds, challenges and future plans.
Addressing the meeting, DG Shahid Khan Mohmand directed all concerned officials to ensure that development projects are completed within the stipulated timelines and according to approved quality standards. He emphasized that the successful completion of these projects would strengthen tourism infrastructure, provide better facilities to Tourists and support the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s vision of promoting sustainable tourism across the province.
