KOHAT: Regional Director Information Kohat Irshad Afridi has praised the literary contributions of renowned Pashto writer and poet Professor Aziz Qureshi after receiving a copy of his short-story collection “Akhri Leek” during a meeting at his office.
The book is considered a valuable addition to Pashto literature, highlighting local culture, social issues and contemporary intellectual trends. Literary circles described the presentation as a positive step toward promoting regional literature and preserving indigenous cultural heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, Irshad Afridi thanked Professor Aziz Qureshi and paid tribute to his services for the promotion of Pashto language and literature. He said such literary works enrich the literary landscape and help connect younger generations with their cultural roots.
Afridi reaffirmed the Information Department’s commitment to encouraging literary and cultural initiatives aimed at promoting local languages and fostering intellectual development in the region.
