Bajaur: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Merged Districts and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Mubarak Zeb Khan has said that development projects will be launched across every part of Bajaur without discrimination, adding that the district will witness record development work unprecedented in its history. He said the confidence reposed in him by the people would never be betrayed, and that serving the public would remain his foremost priority.
He was addressing a ceremony held in Bajaur for the distribution of buses among various government colleges. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali Khan, District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Khalid, principals of different educational institutions, government officials, teachers, students, and local elders. During the ceremony, bus keys were handed over to the principals of several government colleges to facilitate transportation, particularly for students from remote and underdeveloped areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Mubarak Zeb Khan also announced the installation of a solar power system at the Jirga Hall, stating that the initiative would help improve the efficiency of public institutions by providing modern facilities. He said that the late Rehan Zeb Khan had envisioned quality education, better transport facilities, and equal development opportunities for the youth of Bajaur, and that the current initiatives represented significant progress toward realizing that vision.
The MNA further announced that two additional buses would soon be provided for the district, making travel easier for students from far-flung areas and reducing transportation-related obstacles to education. He added that balanced development in the sectors of education, infrastructure, roads, healthcare, and other basic public services remained among his top priorities to ensure equal opportunities for all parts of Bajaur.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan and District Police Officer Muhammad Khalid also welcomed the provision of transport facilities for educational institutions. They said such initiatives would not only encourage students to pursue their education but would also help improve attendance and raise the overall standard of education in the district.
