Ex-PTI Lawyer Joins PML -

ISLAMABAD: Prominent lawyer, former Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan, former Chairman and Judge of the Drug Court and Banking Court, former Vice President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, former Central Senior Vice President of the Insaf Lawyers Forum, and former lawyer for the PTI founder, Muhammad Habib Qureshi Advocate, has joined the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) along with his associates.

The announcement was made during a meeting with Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain on Tuesday. A delegation led by Intikhab Khan Chamkani, President of Pakistan Muslim League Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, also met the federal minister to discuss organizational affairs, the country’s political situation, constitutional and legal matters, and the party’s future political strategy.

Welcoming the new members, Chaudhry Salik Hussain said the inclusion of experienced and capable professionals would further strengthen the Pakistan Muslim League. He added that the party would continue working to strengthen its organization at every level while pursuing efforts to address national issues.

Intikhab Khan Chamkani said Muhammad Habib Qureshi’s extensive legal experience would be a valuable asset for the party. He claimed that many people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have become disappointed with the existing political parties and the government and are now looking towards the Pakistan Muslim League under the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. He also expressed confidence that more political figures would join the party in the coming days, enabling it to emerge as a strong alternative political force in the province.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Habib Qureshi thanked the party leadership for their confidence and pledged to work for public service, the rule of law, constitutional supremacy, and the promotion of democratic values.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League Central Information Secretary Ghulam Mustafa Malik welcomed Muhammad Habib Qureshi’s decision to join the party, describing it as a major achievement for the party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter under the leadership of Intikhab Khan Chamkani and his team. He said Muhammad Habib Qureshi enjoys great respect within the legal fraternity and that his inclusion would help mobilize lawyers across the country.
