PESHAWAR: A Federal Constabulary check post in Hassan Khel, Peshawar, came under attack on Tuesday when militants reportedly attempted to seize the security installation.
According to initial reports, Federal Constabulary personnel responded swiftly and effectively, foiling the attack and preventing the assailants from achieving their objective.
During the exchange of fire, eight militants were killed, while security personnel maintained control of the check post.
Following the attack, additional security forces rushed to the area, established a cordon, and launched a clearance operation to ensure the security of the surrounding region.
Security forces are continuing actions against the attackers, while further details regarding the incident are awaited.
