CHITRAL: Tourists from Slovenia and Spain visited the Kalasha Dur Museum in Bumburate, Chitral, where they explored the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Kalash community.
During their visit, the foreign guests toured the museum’s collection of artifacts, photographs, traditional costumes and historical exhibits depicting the unique lifestyle, customs and history of the Kalash people.
The visitors appreciated the efforts of the Directorate General of Archaeology and Museums Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in preserving and promoting the centuries-old cultural heritage of the Kalash community. They praised the museum’s well-maintained galleries and informative displays, describing them as an excellent source of knowledge about one of Pakistan’s most distinctive indigenous cultures.
The tourists noted that the museum plays an important role in cultural preservation and awareness, enabling visitors from around the world to gain a deeper understanding of Kalash traditions and history.
Officials said the Kalasha Dur Museum continues to serve as a key cultural attraction in Chitral, contributing to heritage preservation and the promotion of cultural tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
