ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea organized the K-WAVE Festa 2026 on Saturday at the SBC Lawn, Serena Hotel, bringing together a vibrant celebration of Korean culture, creativity, and global connection.
Held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the event attracted a diverse audience including cultural enthusiasts, students, influencers, and members of the public who experienced Korea’s dynamic culture through performances, interactive booths, and engaging activities.
The “All About Korea” segment featured promotional stalls by leading Korean and partner organizations such as Samsung, Lotte Kolson, KOICA, KOPIA, and HRD Korea, showcasing Korea’s innovation, development cooperation, and cultural outreach.
A key highlight was the Korean Language and Culture Program conducted by the King Sejong Institute, where participants engaged in introductory Korean language sessions, traditional crafts like Najeon DIY, and Hanbok dressing experiences, offering a glimpse into Korea’s rich cultural heritage.
The Hallyu Fan Club activities energized the event with K-pop culture and tourism promotion, while the K-Beauty booth attracted significant attention through interactive skincare and makeup experiences. Traditional Korean games and food stalls added a lively cultural exchange element.
An exclusive K-Beauty Master Class, held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, offered influencers personalized color analysis and K-idol makeup styling techniques, with live streaming on social media platforms and the Embassy’s official channels.
The evening concluded with the K-POP Festival – National Preliminary Round, featuring vocal and dance performances by talented contestants. The opening ceremony also included a special performance by Faryal Amber, adding excitement to the event.
The festival successfully promoted cultural exchange and strengthened people-to-people ties between Korea and Pakistan, reflecting the growing popularity of Korean culture in the region.
