PESHAWAR: The 3rd Business Development and Communications (BD&C) Committee Meeting of the Board of Directors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) was held under the chairpersonship of Ms. Afshan Khan to review key strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the organization’s long-term sustainability, investor engagement and industrial development.
The meeting was attended by Board Members Najiullah Khattak, Safeer Akhtar and Adil Nawaz, Additional Secretary Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Department Mujeeb ur Rehman, KPEZDMC Chief Executive Officer Shaharyar Gul, the Chief Commercial Officer and other senior officials.
During the meeting, participants deliberated on the next phase of the Inclusive Business Development Park (IBDP), focusing on measures to further enhance industrial growth and investment opportunities in the province.
The committee also explored non-conventional revenue streams for KPEZDMC as part of efforts to strengthen the organization’s financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
Members reviewed progress on the KPEZDMC Industrial Connect initiative, which aims to establish stronger linkages between industries and national as well as international buyers to promote business growth, exports and market access.
The meeting also discussed measures to enhance collaboration between industry and academia to encourage innovation, research and the development of a skilled workforce capable of meeting the evolving needs of modern industries.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to promoting sustainable industrial development, attracting investment and creating an enabling environment for economic growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through strategic planning and collaborative initiatives.
