Meena Khan Afridi, Prof Dr Razia Sultana Lead WUM Senate Meeting

MARDAN: Women University Mardan held its 8th Senate Meeting on 27th July 2026, during which key financial, administrative, and institutional matters were discussed and approved. The meeting was chaired by the Minister for Higher Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Meena Khan Afridi, in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana.

Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, the university continues to make remarkable progress in academic, administrative, financial, and institutional development. During the meeting, the minutes of the previous (7th) Senate Meeting, along with the Action Taken Report (ATR), were approved. The Senate appreciated the effective implementation of the decisions made during the previous meeting.

The Senate also approved the surplus budget of Women University Mardan for the financial year 2026–27, reflecting the university’s sound financial planning, prudent resource management, and continued financial stability.

Furthermore, the Senate approved the Annual Report of Women University Mardan, acknowledging the university’s achievements in academics, research, governance, quality assurance, infrastructure development, student affairs, and institutional growth.

The Minister for Higher Education/Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Meena Khan Afridi, appreciated the university’s financial discipline, administrative performance, and sustained progress. He commended the comprehensive budget presentation and lauded the efforts of the Vice Chancellor and her team in steering the university towards excellence. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana appreciated the dedication and commitment of the faculty, officers, and staff whose collective efforts have contributed significantly to the university’s success.

The meeting was attended by members of the Senate, senior government representatives, and key university officials, including Registrar Mr. Adnan Ahmad, Treasurer Mr. Faheem Shah, Assistant Director Works Mr. Abu Bakkar, Assistant Registrar Mr. Peer Shakeel, and other Senate members.

The 8th Senate Meeting marked another significant milestone in Women University Mardan’s continued commitment to academic excellence, financial sustainability, transparent governance, and strategic institutional development.
