Changsha, China: Asif Ali Zardari visited Hunan Tea Group, where he was briefed by Chairman Zhou Zhongwang on the company’s operations, supply chain, and international market presence.
The President was apprised of the Group’s integrated model, which combines cultivation, processing, research, marketing, and tea culture within a unified industrial framework. Officials highlighted how ecological tea gardens, specialised production units, and efficient distribution systems support both domestic sales and global exports.
He was further informed that Hunan Tea Group serves as a central platform for the province’s tea industry, linking growers, enterprises, and research institutions while strengthening branding and market access.
During the visit, Asif Ali Zardari toured the company’s history gallery, observed tea processing techniques, and attended a tea tasting session showcasing Chinese tea culture.
The President noted strong potential for collaboration in value addition, agro-processing, and export development, and invited the Group to explore partnerships with Pakistan in these sectors.
The delegation accompanying the President included Saleem Mandviwalla, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Ali Hassan Barohi, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, senior provincial officials, Jiang Zaidong, and Khalil Hashmi.
