Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen Represents Pakistan at the 17th International Economic Forum in Kazan

SWABI: Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen, Vice Chancellor of Women University Swabi, represented Pakistan at the conference held in Kazan, Russia, from May 12 to 17, 2026. The week-long event brought together ministers, education experts, and business leaders from over 80 countries. The forum was organized at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre in collaboration with the Government of Tatarstan and the Federal Government of Russia. Its primary aim was to enhance cooperation between Russia and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in education, economic development, and technology sectors.
Prof. Dr. Yasmeen chaired a high-level session on “Higher Education and Academic Mobility in the Islamic World.” As the only female Vice Chancellor among her male counterparts, she emphasized gender equality and inclusivity in academic leadership, fostering discussions among university leaders and promoting collaborative strategies to advance academic mobility and educational growth.
Additionally, she presented a research paper titled “Pakistan, China, and Russia: Regional Economy & Future Prospects,” highlighting the economic relations among the three countries and the opportunities for regional development. Her data-driven analysis and case studies underscored the importance of cooperation for future economic policies in the region.
Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen’s participation not only strengthened Pakistan’s presence on the international stage but also highlighted the significant role of women leaders in the Islamic world.
