Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Babar Oversees Free Heart Camp at Gomal University

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: On the special directives of Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Babar, Gomal University, in collaboration with its Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) and Madina Medical Lab, organized a free heart screening camp to provide quality healthcare services to the public, particularly underprivileged patients.

A large number of people attended the camp, where they received free cardiac check-ups, medical consultations, early disease screening, and guidance on preventive healthcare measures.

Renowned cardiologist and cardiac surgeon Dr. Asif Shams (MBBS, FCPS) from Family Care Hospital and Research Centre, Peshawar, examined patients, provided expert medical advice, and raised awareness about heart disease prevention and healthy lifestyle practices.

The successful organization of the camp was made possible through the efforts of ORIC Director Dr. Muzammal Ahmad Khan and Madina Medical Lab CEO Ashfaq Ahmad, whose planning and coordination ensured the smooth conduct of the welfare initiative.

In his message, Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Babar said Gomal University considers community service and public welfare an integral part of its mission alongside higher education. He appreciated the contributions of ORIC, Madina Medical Lab, Dr. Asif Shams, and the organizing team, reaffirming the university’s commitment to continuing similar public welfare initiatives in collaboration with partner organizations.
