MARDAN: Women University Mardan successfully convened the 5th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) under the chairpersonship of Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, to review and approve various postgraduate research matters in line with the University’s commitment to academic excellence and quality research.
The meeting was coordinated by Ms. Haleema Ikram, Director ASRB, and attended by distinguished external experts Dr. Rubi Bilal from Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar; Prof. Dr. Eatzaz Ahmad from Iqra University, Islamabad (online); Dr. Mohammad Gulraiz Akhter from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad; Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen from Government College University, Faisalabad; and Dr. Muhammad Afzal Bhatti from the University of Wah (online).
During the meeting, the Board considered and approved research proposals and related academic matters of 79 postgraduate scholars, including 9 students from the Department of Economics, 12 students from the Department of Psychology, 9 students from the Department of Mathematics, and 49 students from the Department of Physics, in accordance with the University’s academic regulations and the quality standards of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana reiterated the University’s commitment to promoting a vibrant research culture and encouraging innovative, high-quality research that contributes to academic excellence and national development. Ms. Haleema Ikram, Director ASRB, emphasized the pivotal role of the ASRB in ensuring research quality, academic integrity, and the timely progression of postgraduate scholars.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the University’s dedication to strengthening research governance and fostering excellence in postgraduate education through collaboration with eminent scholars from leading universities across Pakistan.
