PESHAWAR : Professor Nihayat Safi has assumed charge as the new Principal of Government Girls Degree College Gulshan Rehman Colony, Peshawar. Prior to her new assignment, she was serving as Principal of Government Girls Degree College Zaryab Colony, Peshawar.
On assuming charge, the teaching and non-teaching staff warmly welcomed Professor Nihayat Safi and congratulated her on taking up her new responsibilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Nihayat Safi said that her foremost priority would be to further improve the college’s academic standards, maintain discipline and provide students with a positive and conducive learning environment. She said that providing quality education to female students was an important need of the time, while women’s education played a fundamental role in the development of society.
She said that during her tenure as Principal of Government Girls Degree College Zaryab Colony, she had worked with dedication to improve the quality of education, provide guidance to students and enhance the overall performance of the institution. She added that the same commitment would continue at her new institution.
Professor Nihayat Safi urged the teaching staff to pay special attention to the academic and moral development of students and to play their full role in improving the institution. She said that providing better opportunities for higher education to girls from Gulshan Rehman Colony and adjoining areas was an important need.
She further said that efforts would be made to develop the college into an exemplary educational institution where students would have access not only to quality education but also to ample opportunities to develop and showcase their abilities. She expressed her determination to further improve the academic and administrative performance of the college with the cooperation of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
