The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali Khan, Member of the Provincial Assembly Dr. Hameed, families of the martyrs and injured, and other relevant officials.
During the ceremony, relief cheques were distributed among a total of 43 affected families and injured individuals. The beneficiaries included the heirs of those who lost their lives during the military operation as well as civilians who sustained injuries.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali Khan said that the government is fully aware of the difficulties faced by the affected families, and the provision of relief cheques to the families of martyrs and injured persons is part of the government’s efforts to support them. He stated that a survey of houses and other properties damaged during the operation is also underway, and compensation will be provided to the affected individuals in accordance with the prescribed rules once the survey is completed.
He further said that the district administration is taking serious measures for the relief, rehabilitation, and support of the affected families in order to ease the hardships they continue to face.
Addressing the gathering, Member of the Provincial Assembly Dr. Hameed said that no compensation can truly make up for the sacrifices of the martyrs and the suffering of the injured, nor can financial assistance replace the value of the lives lost. However, he added that these relief cheques are being provided by the government as a gesture of solidarity and support for the affected families.
He emphasized that this assistance is not a favor but a rightful entitlement of the victims, and the government considers it its responsibility to ensure that they receive their due rights. He further stated that efforts would continue to promote the welfare of the affected families and address their concerns and problems.
