CHARSADDA: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Food Dr Muhammad Israr Khan, visited the under-construction government wheat godown in Charsadda to review the progress and quality of the ongoing construction work.
During the visit, officials of the Food Department and other relevant departments briefed the Special Assistant on the project’s progress, storage capacity and other technical aspects.
Dr Israr Khan carried out a detailed inspection of the construction work and reviewed the pace, quality and overall progress of the project. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all construction activities are completed within the stipulated timeline without compromising on quality standards at any stage.
Speaking on the occasion, the Special Assistant said the provincial government is taking practical measures to strengthen the safe storage of government wheat through the construction of modern and high-quality storage facilities. He noted that the initiative would help safeguard strategic wheat reserves and further improve the overall food management system in the province.
Dr Israr Khan further stated that, under the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Khan Afridi, the capacity of the Food Department is being enhanced continuously to ensure the timely availability of quality wheat and flour for the public. He also urged the relevant officials to maintain transparency and uphold the highest construction standards while ensuring the project’s completion within the prescribed timeframe.
