PESHAWAR: Literary, cultural and artistic circles have welcomed the announcement of the Pride of Performance Presidential Award for renowned KP actress Shazma Haleem and acclaimed writer, author, actor and director Fareedullah Shah Hassas.
They described the recognition as a major achievement for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s arts and literature. Shazma Haleem was praised for her long contribution to performing arts and promotion of local culture, while Fareedullah Shah Hassas was recognised for his services to literature, Durrani-language writing, acting and directing.
Fans and artists congratulated both personalities, saying the national honour reflects their years of dedication and creative work and would encourage emerging artists and writers across the province.
