Facts are stubborn things. No matter how much you hate confronting reality, the truth will stare down at you impassionately. Noreen Khan,the sister of the former PM Imran Khan, grabbed the opportunity presented by a podcast channel to share her two cents pertinent to the “dynamics” of international relations. Although the podcast is an old one, and has been removed from Youtube and other social media platforms, yet the clips of the podcast are still making rounds on various social media channels. The statements rendered by her offer a remarkable display of the irrationality that mars her whole view of the events that transpired between India and Pakistan in May, 2025. She gave herself away when she said “yeh mujhe kisi ne nahi bataya, yeh meri apni aqal hai(nobody told me, this is my own understanding).” That is where the shoe pinches the most. She chose to go on air and vent her frustration by clumsily trying to sully a watershed moment in the history of Pakistan to suit her own objectives, but ended up making a mockery of herself. “Marqa-e-Haq was a drama….Modi could fix Pakistan in no time.” She went further and came up with the “motive of the crime”: In order to get Israel recognized by Pakistan, the credibility of the armed forces of Pakistan had to be restored, and the whole fiasco of May, 2025 was a choreographed attempt at ameliorating the image of the most disciplined institution of the country. Naturally follows the conclusion that the Indian Air Force(IAF) presented itself to be slaughtered by Pakistan Air Force(PAF) so that the downing of 8 extremely potent air platforms could breathe some respect into the hearts of the people of Pakistan. Yes, that is what the whole “discourse” says. It is quite unfortunate that she ventured to deny the damage inflicted by Pakistan on India during Operation Bunyan al Marsoos, as the evidence of the battering Indian armed forces incurred is overwhelming. The coverage by the Indian TV news channels of the downed Indian aircrafts was taken off air. Indian news outlet The Wire was blocked as it broke the news of the downing of much-touted and much-prized Rafale fighter jets. The stocks of the Chengdu Aviation merely reflected what the world believed amidst mounting evidence of the carnage that broke loose on IAF. According to the US China Economic and Security Review Commission’s 2025 report submitted to US Congress, “Pakistan’s military success over India in its four-day clash showcased Chinese weaponry.” This marked the beginning of the geopolitical rise of Pakistan. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA) formalized its strategic alliance with Pakistan with Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement(SMDA) on September 17, 2025. Currently, Pakistan is reported to be negotiating a mutual defence pact with Kuwait. The approach of the US changed toward Pakistan, as the former started viewing the latter in terms of the geopolitical and military influence rather than the economic weight. The mediation role that Pakistan assumed in the wake of US-Israel-Iran conflict reflects the transformed perception of the country that stood up to the bullying of a wanna-be hegemon of South Asia. The credibility of Pakistan as a credible mediator has prompted the Libyan warring parties to welcome Pakistan in a mediating role.The lady didn’t stop at terming the Indo-Pak conflict a drama. She went ahead and Her “enlightening” claims reached the summit of incoherence when she said that India is a superpower, and President Trump used the leverage of the American economy to coerce India into submission, because, apparently President Trump wanted to put Modi in his place. Since when India assumed the role of a superpower is a question that must be posed to Noreen Khan to answer. The question arises as to how one should come to grips with the whole salvo of Noreen Khan? What has nudged her to the point where she refuses to wake up and smell the coffee? Well, notwithstanding the crude reasoning behind the whole thesis, the barrage of ludicrous propositions seemed to display an utter frustration concerning the current state of affairs PTI finds itself in. The party is in shambles as an incarcerated leader has failed to keep his comrades together. Then there is a provincial govt that has lost face with the recent passage of a legislation that secured lifetime blue passports and other privileges for the members of the KP legislature. The political trends do paint a grim picture of the present, and a pessimistic projection of the time to come for Noreen Khan and her cohorts. The explanation suffices to understand her frame of mind, but she forgot that one should never dig holes in the boat that sustains everyone.
