PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Home and Tribal Affairs, Tariq Saeed Marwat, on Thursday reviewed security and monitoring arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram during visits to the Central Control Rooms of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Police Lines, and the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar.
Officials briefed him on measures taken to maintain law and order, monitor processions and religious gatherings, and ensure coordination among the district administration, police, rescue services and other departments. He was informed that all control rooms are fully operational and continuously monitoring reports from across the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Saeed Marwat said maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram is the provincial government’s foremost priority. He directed all concerned departments to perform their duties with complete coordination and professionalism.
He said that, on the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, extraordinary security arrangements have been put in place and all available resources are being utilized to ensure the peaceful conduct of processions and religious gatherings, particularly on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

The Special Assistant said continuous coordination among relevant departments, effective communication and round-the-clock monitoring have been ensured to maintain peace and security throughout the province. He added that timely directives and continuous follow-up have further strengthened security arrangements.
Appreciating the performance of the control room staff, Tariq Saeed Marwat said all departments are fully mobilized to safeguard the lives and property of citizens and maintain a peaceful environment during Muharram-ul-Haram. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to taking every possible measure to ensure peace, stability and public safety across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
