Tribute to Bajaur’s Sanitation Heroes on Eid-ul-Adha, Demand for Bonus and Recognition

BAJAUR : While people across the district celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with their families and loved ones, Village Council Secretaries and sanitation workers in Bajaur remained actively engaged in their duties, setting an exemplary standard of public service. During the Eid holidays, sanitation staff worked tirelessly to ensure the timely collection and disposal of animal waste and other refuse, helping maintain cleanliness throughout the district and providing residents with a clean and healthy environment.
President of the All Secretaries Association Bajaur, Imran Arman, praised the efforts of Village Council Secretaries and janitorial staff who participated in the grand cleanliness campaign. He stated that the success of the Eid-ul-Adha sanitation drive was the result of their dedication, responsibility, hard work, and commitment to public service. He added that these employees sacrificed their personal comfort and Eid celebrations to serve the community, making them worthy of appreciation and recognition.
Imran Arman urged the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the relevant authorities to acknowledge the extraordinary services of these unsung heroes by granting them an additional salary as a bonus. He also called for the awarding of certificates of appreciation, shields, and other honorary rewards to encourage and recognize their contributions. He emphasized that maintaining public health and cleanliness is not merely a government responsibility but a vital national service that deserves proper recognition and reward.
Members of civil society also commended the sanitation workers, noting that ensuring cleanliness during Eid-ul-Adha—a particularly busy and sensitive occasion—was a significant challenge. They stated that the dedicated efforts of the sanitation staff successfully met this challenge and set an outstanding example of public service for the community.
