MARDAN: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan successfully hosted TECHVISION 2026, bringing together students, faculty, industry leaders and researchers to promote innovation, engineering excellence, entrepreneurship and industry-academia collaboration with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable development and climate-resilient engineering.
The event featured a Final Year Project (FYP) Exhibition, where 40 outstanding projects were displayed from more than 100 completed final-year submissions. The projects highlighted innovative solutions in AI, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-aligned technologies and climate-responsive engineering, reflecting the university’s growing emphasis on applied research and real-world problem-solving.
A Job Fair was also organised, providing students and fresh graduates with opportunities to interact with leading employers and explore career prospects. Participating organisations included the Directorate of Science and Technology, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTCL, Communication and Works (C&W) Department, Pakistan Railways, National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), Haval Motors, Xpert IT Solutions and Ali & Co. Construction Company.
The event also featured an Idea Competition, encouraging young innovators to present entrepreneurial and technology-driven solutions to contemporary challenges while enhancing their skills in innovation, pitching and commercialization.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Gul Muhammad lauded the efforts of the organising committee, faculty, students and industry partners for making TECHVISION 2026 a success. He stressed that innovation, research and strong academia-industry collaboration are essential for sustainable national development and called for transforming student projects into market-ready industrial solutions.
The Vice Chancellor also highlighted UET Mardan’s vision of establishing an AI Valley to support startups, technology-based enterprises and innovation-driven entrepreneurship. He said the initiative aims to promote AI-enabled solutions, commercialization of research and practical technologies capable of addressing national and global challenges.

The event concluded with the distribution of cash prizes, shields and certificates among winners of the FYP Exhibition and Idea Competition, while participants, exhibitors and industry partners were also recognised for their contributions.
Through TECHVISION 2026, UET Mardan reaffirmed its commitment to advancing engineering education, applied research, entrepreneurship and technological innovation while strengthening partnerships with industry to prepare graduates for the evolving demands of the engineering profession.
