JHELUM: The United Alliance has taken its first step towards success in the ongoing elections of the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry by securing one seat in the corporate class unopposed.
To celebrate the achievement, a grand rally was organized by the leaders, candidates, members and workers of the United Alliance. The rally reached the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce office, where participants met President Jhelum Chamber of Commerce Haji Zahid Hussain Butt and congratulated him on his success.
Haji Noman Zahid Hussain Butt, Hafiz Ghulam Mustafa, Hafiz Maqsood Shafiq, Chaudhry Yasir Latif, Dr. Zaheer Butt, Amjad Mahmood Sethi, Haroon Sethi, Chaudhry Sohail Aziz, Raja Shahzad Ahmed, Raja Farrukh Tauqir, Sheikh Khabib Naveed, Chaudhry Muhammad Bilal Arif, Shiraz Butt, Ghafoor Chohan, Shabbir Butt, Ghafoor Butt, Chaudhry Shabbir Gujjar, Aftab Hussain, Haji Chaudhry Makhdoom Hussain, Waseem Butt, Hafiz Ismail, Zia-ur-Rehman and a large number of other leaders, members and workers participated in the rally.
The participants raised slogans in celebration of the victory, while sweets were distributed among the workers and members. Speaking on the occasion, United Alliance members said that the election of a corporate-class candidate unopposed was a clear expression of unity and confidence among the business community.
They described the success as an encouraging beginning and expressed confidence that the alliance would achieve further victories in the remaining stages of the chamber elections.
President Jhelum Chamber of Commerce Haji Zahid Hussain Butt thanked all the leaders, members and workers who participated in the rally and congratulated the alliance on the achievement. He said that the trust placed in the United Alliance by chamber members and the business community was highly valuable.
He added that, with the support of the business community, practical efforts would continue to address the problems faced by traders and industrialists and to further improve the performance and services of the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
