During the meeting, office-bearers of the United Property Dealers Association formally announced their full support for Haji Ghulam Ali’s panel in the Sarhad Chamber elections. Association Chairman Haji Abdul Latif Butt, President Shahpur Salam, General Secretary Naqeeb Jan, Usman, and other office-bearers and traders were also present on the occasion.
The trader leaders welcomed Haji Ghulam Ali and said that the property dealers’ community would stand shoulder to shoulder with him in the Sarhad Chamber elections and would play a full role in ensuring the success of his panel by a heavy majority.
Addressing the gathering, former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali said that traders and the business community were the backbone of the national economy. However, he said, the business community was currently facing serious difficulties due to prevailing economic conditions. He said their objective was not to limit the Chamber of Commerce to merely an office, but to transform it into a genuine and effective voice for traders, particularly those associated with the property sector.
Haji Ghulam Ali said that after winning the Sarhad Chamber elections, issues faced by property dealers, including taxation, registration, and other administrative difficulties, would be taken up with the government on a priority basis. He urged traders to remain united and contribute to the success of the election campaign so that the rights and interests of the business community could be defended more effectively.
He said that unity among the business community was essential to making the Chamber of Commerce a strong, active, and influential platform, adding that joint efforts could pave the way for resolving the problems of the business community and promoting economic activities.
