VC Dr. Razia Sultana Leads 4th ASRB Meeting at Women University Mardan

MARDAN: Women University Mardan convened the 4th meeting of its Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) under the esteemed chairpersonship of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Razia Sultana.
During the proceedings, a total of 59 research synopses were presented before the Board, comprising 44 from the Department of Zoology, 11 from the Department of Islamic Studies, 02 PhD scholars and 02 MPhil scholars from the Department of Urdu. The synopses were formally tabled by the Director ASRB, Ms. Haleema Ikram, and were rigorously examined, deliberated, and evaluated by the honourable members of the Board in accordance with prescribed academic standards.
The meeting was graced by the presence of distinguished external experts, including Dr. Etezaz Ahmad, Dr. Gulraiz Akhtar, and Dr. Afzal Bhatti from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad; Dr. Farhat Jabeen from University of Faisalabad; Dr. Rubi Bilal from Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar; and Engr. Falak Niaz from Directorate of Science and Technology Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, whose valuable expert opinions enriched the review process.
In her address, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Razia Sultana, commended the concerted efforts of the faculty, researchers, and the ASRB Directorate in fostering a vibrant and sustainable research ecosystem within the University. She underscored the imperative of maintaining high academic rigor and quality in research to effectively contribute to national development and knowledge advancement.
The meeting concluded with the formal approval of the presented research synopses, subject to the recommendations and observations of the Board. The successful conduct of the meeting reflects the University’s steadfast commitment to upholding academic excellence, strengthening research governance, and promoting quality postgraduate research.
