SWABI: The fifth meeting of the Project Steering Committee regarding the development projects of Women University Swabi was held under the chairpersonship of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen, where a detailed review of the ongoing development projects of the university was conducted.
The meeting was attended by Waqar Ahmad, Manager Planning and Development at Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar; Engineer Nasir Hussain, Additional Director Works at Women University Mardan; Engineer Muhammad Amir; Uzair Muhammad; and other relevant officials. In addition, Dr. Bashir Khan, Incharge Monitoring and Evaluation at Higher Education Commission Pakistan; Abdul Sami; and Tayyab Rehman were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on two major projects of the university. The first project is the ADP scheme related to the establishment of the university, which is funded by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The second project is the strengthening scheme of the university, which is being funded under the PSDP program of the federal government through the Higher Education Commission Pakistan.
The participants reviewed the progress of both projects, discussed the challenges faced, and deliberated on the future course of action. Several important decisions were made after examining administrative and technical matters to ensure the timely completion of the projects. The meeting also emphasized that the successful completion of the development projects of Women University Swabi will not only improve educational facilities but will also play a significant role in promoting higher education for women in the region.
