Peshawar: Chairman of the Pakistan Directors, Producers, Writers and Artists Association (PDPWA), Sajjad Ali Orakzai, has congratulated renowned sports journalist Amjad Aziz Malik on being elected as a lifetime member of the Executive Committee of the Association of International Sports Press (AIPS), calling it a significant and historic honor for Pakistan.
In a statement, he said that Amjad Aziz Malik has been associated with AIPS as a member of its Executive Committee for the past 15 years, and his lifetime election is a global recognition of his professional services.
He said that in the field of journalism, certain individuals attain distinction through consistency, integrity, and exceptional abilities, and Amjad Aziz Malik is among those prominent figures. His contributions to sports journalism are highly commendable, and through his hard work and unbiased reporting, he has projected a positive image of Pakistan not only nationally but also on the global stage.
Sajjad Ali Orakzai further stated that being elected for life to the Executive Committee of a prestigious global body like AIPS is not a coincidence, but the result of decades of continuous struggle, professional dedication, and deep understanding of sports. He added that Malik’s reporting goes beyond mere coverage of events, reflecting the spirit of sports along with its social, cultural, and national dimensions.
He emphasized that this achievement serves as an inspiring example for young journalists that, despite limited resources, one can achieve international recognition through determination, hard work, and integrity.
