DI Khan’s Young Squash Stars Shine Nationally and Internationally

Dera Ismail Khan: Two emerging junior squash players from Dera Ismail Khan, Ahmed Mujtaba (Under-11) and Muhammad Mustafa Haider (Under-11), have brought pride to Pakistan through their outstanding performances at both national and international levels.

Both young athletes are currently undergoing intensive training under professional coaches at the PF Squash Complex Peshawar and Qamar Zaman Squash Complex Peshawar. Their dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work have earned them notable positions in various competitions.

Ahmed Mujtaba particularly excelled at an international event held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Qatar, where his impressive performance secured a prominent position. His achievement has not only honored Pakistan but also highlighted the talent emerging from Dera Ismail Khan.

In recognition of their achievements, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi awarded both players with shields and medals at the Governor Sports Award ceremony, encouraging them and acknowledging them as promising stars of the future.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Mustafa Haider has also demonstrated exceptional skill, performing beyond his age in several national competitions and establishing himself as a strong contender in junior squash.

Speaking to the media, their father Mehboob Khalid Baloch expressed his ambition to see his children succeed while contributing to the revival of Pakistan’s prominence in the world of squash. He urged government institutions and sports authorities to continue supporting young talent by providing proper facilities and guidance.

These two young champions from Dera Ismail Khan represent a bright future for Pakistan. With continued support and resources, they are poised to achieve even greater success and bring more accolades to the country on the global stage.
