PESHAWAR: The district administration of Peshawar conducted a series of inspections in markets across the Sadar Tehsil area to ensure compliance with the official price list and hygiene regulations.
During the ongoing operation, officials checked shopkeepers’ adherence to government-approved price lists and sanitary standards. Strict action was taken against violations of rules, including overcharging and failure to display official price lists.
According to the administration, several individuals were taken into custody for violations such as excessive pricing, absence of price lists, and other breaches of market regulations.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumers’ rights, ensuring fair pricing, and maintaining cleanliness standards in all commercial areas of the city.
Officials further stated that such inspections will continue on a regular basis to discourage artificial price hikes and improve market discipline.
