PESHAWAR: Secretary Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sharif Hussain, visited the Office of the Provincial Ombudsperson and held a productive meeting with Khatoon Mohtasib H.E. Rubab Mehdi.
During the interaction, the Secretary acknowledged the pivotal role of the Ombudsperson Secretariat in ensuring protection against harassment at the workplace and strengthening institutional mechanisms for safeguarding womenโs rights across the province. He appreciated the officeโs sustained efforts in promoting a culture of dignity, accountability, and equitable access to justice for women.
Khatoon Mohtasib H.E. Rubab Mehdi provided a comprehensive briefing on the mandate, performance, outreach initiatives, and strategic interventions undertaken by the Ombudsperson Secretariat. She emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination with the Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department to further reinforce protection frameworks and expand awareness and support systems for women throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting reflected a shared institutional resolve to enhance collaboration for advancing womenโs protection, strengthening complaint redressal structures, and promoting inclusive and responsive governance.
