PESHAWAR: City Gulbahar Club won the Defence Day Pakistan Inter-District Women’s Basketball Tournament, defeating Friends Club 25-23 in a thrilling final at Government City Girls College Gulbahar.
Both teams displayed impressive skill, teamwork and competitive spirit, but City Gulbahar Club maintained its lead at crucial stages to secure the title.
College Principal Prof. Rabia Sikandar, Vice Principal Sadia Khan, Sports Director Najma Naz Qazi, KP Basketball Association President Din Muhammad, faculty members, organizers and students attended the final and closing ceremony.
Prof. Rabia Sikandar appreciated the players and organizers, saying such competitions promote discipline, teamwork, healthy activities and confidence among young women.
She later presented trophies to the winning and runners-up teams, while medals were distributed among outstanding players.
