DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Important decisions taken during the 143rd meeting of the Gomal University Syndicate have generated significant discussion in academic circles. The meeting was held in Peshawar on May 17, 2026, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr. Zafar Iqbal.
According to details, the Syndicate reviewed reports related to academic and administrative matters and took strict action regarding alleged bogus degrees. The degrees of 542 candidates from four private colleges affiliated with Gomal University were declared invalid and subsequently canceled.
The Syndicate also approved disciplinary action against four teachers, who were suspended on the basis of findings presented in various inquiry reports.
